PRIVATE SWIM TEACHER-LOVE THE WATER
QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
When should babies start
swim classes?
Babies are learning to swim from a very young age; five to six months is soon
enough. Teaching the parent how to use different holds with their baby or toddler
in the water while singing songs, smiling and giving out those positive vibes.
Consistency, repetition and secure holds encourage the baby to steadily progress
towards independence in the water environment.
How long will it take for me to learn to swim?
Initial and continuous assessment takes all of the above into consideration , thereby determining the most appropriate games (children), water movements and progressive drills for desired skill outcomes.
Do you get in the water
with me?
My place is in the water with YOU if you have any fear whatsoever. However
if you are a competent swimmer and it is a stroke correction session I must
be poolside to see all of you, from head to toe.
Can you help me? I don't
like putting my face in the water.
Breathing/ putting your face in the water are common swim issues. With some
helpful knowledge and walking drills, your brain will learn to approach these
previously very scary challenges in a far more positive light.
Do you think it matters
if I stop swim lessons in winter?
Winter months often bring on colds BUT continuing swimming sessions will reap
huge rewards by summer! Consistency builds on your skills. When in a controlled
environment such as your indoor pool, keep on swimming.
I don't have much time
and I don't have a pool. What can I do?
Summer holiday intensive sessions are conducted in January at a private pool.
This consists of one session every day at the same time for a week. Overall,
participants will rise one entire level during a one-week program. If you don't
have a pool and can't use a friends'
maybe the holiday intensives is your
only answer.
Can I have intensive
sessions for a week?
Any number of sessions is available.
